A SnapCount Certification shows clients and colleagues that you have the skills to run lighting audits effectively on the SnapCount platform — and that you're committed to staying current in the field.
Certification isn't a prerequisite for great work — it's a way to prove you're already doing it.
Certification is earned by individuals, not companies, and it stays with you even if you change employers. Any active SnapCount user who has completed a minimum of 3 audits within the platform can pursue the SNAP-A (Lighting) credential — whether you've been auditing for years or recently hit your stride.
Once you submit your application, payment, and credentials, you will receive access to the certification platform. From there, you can download the SnapCount Mobile and Web Audit guides for review and begin the test once you are ready. Registered applicants will have six months from the date of enrollment to complete the exam successfully.
The exam is open-book and completed entirely online. It assesses your knowledge of core lighting technology and concepts, plus your mastery of the SnapCount auditing platform.
SnapCount has partnered with NALMCO — the industry's original authority on lighting management certification since 1953.
